Costa Daurada in Spain has been named the best holiday destination for families seeking a balance of thrill and relaxation, according to a study by AttractionTickets.com. The resort scored 71.2 out of 100, outperforming Tenerife, Mallorca, and Barcelona.
What Makes Costa Daurada Stand Out
The analysis considered over 100 global hotspots, ranking them on theme park prestige, adrenaline activities, beach quality, and wellness offerings. Costa Daurada boasts 38 Blue Flag beaches and is home to PortAventura World, Spain's most visited theme park, attracting around 5.3 million visitors annually. The park features two separate theme parks and an aqua park, with rides themed after different countries and a variety of dining options.
Beaches for Every Preference
The resort's beaches range from peaceful coves to expansive sandy stretches ideal for families. Platja de Llevant in Salou offers golden sands, calm waters, and a bustling promenade with shops and eateries. Playa de Coma-ruga is a Blue Flag beach known for its natural thermal springs that create therapeutic swimming conditions.
