Costa Coffee is reintroducing its popular Spanish Latte from last summer, alongside a range of new food items, including Barista Bites and a Tiramisu Cookie Sandwich. The updated menu will be available in stores across the UK from Thursday, July 3.
The Spanish Latte, which went viral on TikTok last year, combines espresso with steamed milk and a condensed milk-flavoured sauce, topped with cappuccino dust. It can be served hot or cold. The drink has been praised by customers, with one reviewer calling it 'elite' and another noting its 'nice sweetness'.
New additions include Barista Bites: Cheese Barista Bites (crumb-coated melted cheese with tomato chutney) and High Protein Chicken Barista Bites (breaded chicken with chipotle BBQ dip). The Tiramisu Cookie Sandwich is a dark chocolate cookie filled with tiramisu-inspired coffee frosting, finished with icing and cocoa powder.
Costa has also improved the recipe for its latte range, offering classic and caramel flavours with a 'silkier' texture. Nishant Bhatia, Global Food and Beverage Innovation Director, said the menu aims to bring 'holiday flavours closer to home' with summer-inspired items.
