Co-op Wholesale has officially re-launched Sewell On The Go's flagship petrol forecourt station (PFS) convenience store in South Cave, Hull, this weekend. The store, which carries the Proud To Stock Co-op 'bus stop' signage, has been refitted and ranged to appeal to shoppers "who are looking for more than the average petrol station offerings".
New bakery and community support
The refitted store now features an instore bakery offering Co-op Brand goods including pastries, croissants, bread rolls and more for customers to enjoy on the go. The opening event saw shoppers taking part in brand activations and giveaways, alongside support for Co-op Wholesale's charity, Making A Difference Locally (MADL).
As part of the re-launch, MADL donated £500 to two local causes in equal parts, with £250 going to South Cave Scouts and £250 to Jaguar U15 Girls Football team.
Partnership and reactions
The store is one of 12 Sewell On The Go sites operating in partnership with Co-op Wholesale under the Proud To Stock Co-op signage.

Donations to local groups
Kate Carroll, social value lead at MADL, said: "We're delighted that Sewell on the go has chosen South Cave Jaguars U15s Girls and South Cave Scouts to receive a £250 donation each. The Jaguars are fundraising for much-needed winter jackets, so the donation has come at exactly the right time with winter approaching. It's fantastic to support a team that not only encourages young people to stay active, but also helps build confidence, friendships and lifelong memories through sport. We wish both groups every success with their endeavours."
