The Celebrity Traitors has returned, and with it comes the familiar draw of Claudia Winkleman's wardrobe. The presenter's gothic, country-inspired aesthetic for the first episode of the new series leans into rich autumnal textures, sharp tailoring, tartan and statement outerwear.
Her looks are styled by longtime collaborator Sinead McKeefry, who has worked with Winkleman for 18 years. Together they build her outfits around the drama and setting of the show, mixing punk, prep and Highland dressing, with designer pieces alongside high-street finds.
The episode one look
For the first episode, Winkleman wore her trusty pair of Spanx leggings (£30, Spanx.com), a signature Traitors look with basics on the bottom and drama on the top. McKeefry styled her in a Comme des Garçons ruffled blouse beneath a structured blazer.
Her hero winter coat comes from Scottish label Brora. The wool bomber jacket (£545, Broraonline.co.uk) features buckle detailing and a boxy cut, paired with vintage Vivienne Westwood trousers characterised by their skirt over-layer.
High-street alternatives
For a more everyday take on the ruffled blouse, a Sezane version (£100, Sezane.co.uk) works well, particularly paired with a similarly fitted Mango blazer (£49.99, Mango.com).
The tartan style of the trousers is easy to replicate on the high street. An Albaray wool coat (£198, Albaray.co.uk) with Boden's plaid trousers (£98, Boden.co.uk) offers a similar look.
McKeefry described the appeal of the wardrobe as straightforward: “The styling isn’t overcomplicated. The individual items aren’t scary.” This makes the Traitors wardrobe easy to borrow from, with a great coat, chunky knit, leggings or brogues giving an everyday outfit a darkly romantic feel.
