Supermarkets are opening their Christmas Food to Order slots, with some already nearly booked up. M&S, Morrisons, and Waitrose have opened theirs early this year, while Tesco and Sainsbury's have revealed key dates for shoppers to book.
M&S and Morrisons open slots
M&S officially opened its Christmas delivery slots in late September, with collection dates across Scotland ranging from December 22 to December 24. Once a preferred slot is booked, shoppers browse the food collection and make a £50 deposit, with the remaining balance paid on collection.
Morrisons has also opened its delivery and Click & Collect orders early this year, with key dates between December 18 and 31, covering New Year celebrations. Shoppers can choose their preferred date and browse the Christmas menu, which boasts more than 700 products, with a minimum £25 spend needed.
Waitrose and Asda availability
Waitrose has opened its Christmas Food to Order slots, but all delivery slots are now completely booked up. Only Click & Collect at seven stores across Scotland remains, with December 21-22 the only dates left, and time slots from 9-10am and 6-7pm. A minimum spend of £40 is needed.
Asda shoppers with a Delivery Pass can book a Christmas Food to Order slot now, with all other shoppers able to book from October 15. Slots are available between December 21-23, with the final checkout date being December 15. A Delivery Pass costs between £6.95 and £7.95 monthly for anytime, while a midweek pass costs between £3.95 and £4.50, allowing deliveries on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Tesco and Sainsbury's key dates
Tesco is yet to open its Christmas slots, but key dates have been revealed. From November 3, bookings will be available for anyone with an Anytime Delivery Saver pass, with dates going to the wider public on November 5. Orders must be placed by 11:45pm on December 15, with deliveries and collections between December 20-24.
Sainsbury's will open its Christmas food order slots for Delivery Pass holders on October 15, with all regular shoppers able to book from October 23. Deliveries are available between December 18-24, with amendments possible up until 11pm the night before delivery. A Delivery Pass costs £7.50 per month, £43 every six months, and £80 annually for Anytime, while a Midweek pass costs £4 per month or £40 per year.
