Chester Zoo is offering £10 afternoon tickets this summer, providing families with an affordable way to enjoy the zoo. The cut-price tickets are available throughout June, including weekends, and allow entry from 2pm onwards for three hours of exploration across the 130-acre site.
What the Offer Includes
Visitors can meet more than 500 species, including giraffes, elephants, orangutans, bears, penguins, rhinos, and many endangered animals. The zoo shared the offer on social media, stating: "Discover the zoo for just £10 with our new afternoon tickets. Perfect for after-school adventures, quick visits to see your favourite animals, or your first taste of Chester Zoo."
Families have responded positively, with one calling it "a lovely offer" and another saying it "will be great for my little boy."
Additional Summer Initiatives
On June 12, the zoo will host Dreamnight, a magical evening for 150 families from local charities such as Alder Hey, Claire House, and Hope House, who are impacted by life-limiting conditions. Now in its 21st year, this free event is made possible by zoo staff and volunteers who donate their time to create treasured memories. Families will have exclusive out-of-hours access, personal tours, entertainment, food and drink, and the chance to meet beloved characters.
Throughout the evening, guests can explore the zoo with dedicated guides, enjoy face painting, hand art, and explore a tractor, police vehicles, a fire engine, and an army jeep. Popular characters including a Minion, superheroes, princesses, and Star Wars favourites will also attend.
