Chester Zoo has launched its £10 afternoon ticket offer, allowing visitors to see their favourite animals for less. The offer permits entry from 2pm, with tickets available for purchase online before 4pm on the day of the visit. Standard admission tickets can still be bought at the main entrance.
About Chester Zoo
Since opening its doors in 1931, Chester Zoo has welcomed thousands of visitors to see some of the world's most extraordinary animals. The zoo is a world-leading conservation and education charity committed to preventing extinction and dedicated to raising awareness of key conservation and environmental challenges. The 130-acre site in Chester is home to more than 500 threatened species, making it a vital hub for species-saving work.
Chester Zoo is the UK's top zoo and third best in Europe, according to new Tripadvisor rankings. Tickets are typically £38 for adults, but this offer provides a much cheaper alternative.
How to Book
Visitors can book the £10 afternoon tickets online before 4pm on the day of their visit. Entry is permitted from 2pm onwards. This flexible option is ideal for after-school adventures, shorter trips, or first-time visitors wanting a taste of the zoo.
Dreamnight Event
On June 12, the zoo will host a magical evening for 150 families from local charities such as Alder Hey, Claire House, and Hope House, who are impacted by life-limiting conditions. Now in its 21st year, Dreamnight is made possible by Chester Zoo staff and volunteers who donate their time to provide exclusive out-of-hours access, personal tours, entertainment, food and drink, and the chance to meet beloved characters.
A spokesperson for the zoo said: "Chester Zoo has introduced a brand new way to experience our conservation zoo for just £10. Visitors can book online the day before their visit and enjoy entry from 2pm onwards, making it easier than ever to connect with nature. Whether it's an after-school adventure, a shorter trip to see your favourite animals, or your very first visit to Chester Zoo, this new ticket offers a flexible and affordable way to explore the zoo."
