Most affordable EV to insure
The Fiat 500 is the most affordable EV to insure, with a typical annual premium of £278. It is followed by the Mini Cooper at £304 and the Dacia Spring at £333.

Government grants for EVs
The government's Electric Car Grant scheme offers £3,750 off new Band 1 electric vehicles and £1,500 off new Band 2 electric vehicles, for cars priced at or below £37,000.
Band 1 cars eligible for £3,750 discount include the Citroën ë-C5 Aircross Long Range, Ford E-Tourneo Courier, Ford Puma Gen-E, MINI Countryman Electric, Nissan LEAF, Nissan Micra (52kWh), Renault 4, Renault 5 (52 kWh), and Renault Alpine A290.
