A woman has described hitting the 'vintage jackpot' after discovering a stunning Mansfield coat and other items in a Sue Ryder charity shop. Lucy Pollard, who shares her finds on TikTok, made the haul after a visit to the Jobcentre.
Lucy, who has over 2,000 followers on TikTok, often resells items on Vinted. She said she rewards herself with a trip to the large Sue Ryder store near the Jobcentre. The shop was holding a £1 sale on trousers, skirts, and jeans, which she described as 'very fun'.
Among her finds were a pair of khaki green vintage trousers, a blue and black checked skirt, a red checked skirt, Firetrap jeans, and a 1970s-style hand-knitted cardigan vest. The highlight was a brown wool and cashmere Mansfield coat, priced at £10. 'A tenner for Mansfield! Are you joking!' she exclaimed.
Lucy also found a blue and burgundy man's shirt for £3 and a green Adidas basketball jersey, which she had to fend off another shopper to keep. 'Some man tried to get this off me,' she said. 'I was like yoink!'
