Luxury Jeweller Chapelle Opens First Scottish Store in Livingston Outlet
Chapelle Opens First Scottish Store at Livingston Outlet

A luxury jeweller has marked a milestone by opening its first Scottish outlet at Livingston Designer Outlet. The premium retailer offers high-end brands at affordable prices, bringing a touch of elegance to the shopping destination.

It seems that news surrounding the Scottish high street isn't all doom and gloom. Amidst a few closures, there have also been a range of new opening announcements. This includes the opening of jewellery firm Chapelle's in the Livingston Designer Outlet. It marks an exciting milestone for the luxury brand, as the outlet is the retailer's first ever in Scotland, taking its total to 14 across the UK.

It joins a plethora of high-end retailers that can also be found in the major shopping destination. With more than 80 shops, alongside restaurants and cafes, it has been billed as "Scotland's largest designer outlet."

The new Chapelle's outlet, which opened on Friday, June 12, offers designer timepieces and jewellery from some of the most lucrative brands, but at affordable prices. These includes everything from Michael Kors and Guess to Armani and Links of London.

To celebrate the grand opening, the Livingston branch was kitted out in festive décor. Shoppers were also treated to a celebratory glass of fizz, alongside being invited to take part in an exclusive new promotion. The incentive will see anyone who makes a purchase and signs up to the Love Chapelle loyalty programme entered into a draw to win a £200 in-store voucher. The offer will only be available for the next two weeks.

Other perks of signing up to the retailer's loyalty scheme include exclusive discounts throughout the year, early access to sales and the chance to win prizes. Members are also provided with 'special treats' on their birthday.

Founded in 1979 by husband and wife duo Paul & Margaret Mortimer, Chapelle's began as a family business based in Nottingham. To ensure top-rated jewellery is available to everyone, it sells of its diamonds, watches and accessories with up to 30 percent off the RRP. Since 2019 it has been part of the sixth generation family jeweller F. Hinds. The partnership allows the two brands to build relationships with top brands, alongside sourcing individual products from across the world and ensuring the very best jewellery and watch collections.

Michelle Whitelaw, Centre Director at Livingston Designer Outlet said: "Chapelle Jewellery’s arrival at Livingston Designer Outlet offers customers access to premium jewellery brands at great value prices and is a brilliant addition to the schemes already thriving jeweller store category. The opening of the new store will give visitors the opportunity to find the perfect gift or piece for themselves, and we look forward to welcoming customers to celebrate the opening."

Chapelle's is the latest name to open in the Livingston Designer Outlet recently. Premium local butcher Hamilton & Brown opened its own outlet that brought together a traditional butcher counter with an artisan deli, rotisserie, dessert bar, and tasting counter. In October last year, the shopping destination welcomed a new Monsoon store. Located in a double unit on the ground floor, between the Body Shop and Weird Fish, it marks the British fashion giant's third store in Scotland.

Livingston isn't the only area in Scotland to receive some exciting new additions, as many retailers continue to battle against numerous closures. It was recently revealed that plus-size brand Evans had returned after a six year hiatus. The firm is now available as concessions in over 30 Yours Clothing brands nationwide. This includes three in Scotland that can be found major shopping centres located in East Kilbride, Braehead and also Stirling.

Aberdeen has also had a few new openings, including a 'first of its kind wellness' café dubbed Kaizen. Meanwhile, signs for the Granite City's first ever Chilo's, a trendy Scottish burger bar, have been spotted in the former The Essence Indian Cuisine unit on 401-405 Union Street.
