TV star Cat Deeley is said to be heartbroken as her luxurious £3.5 million London property remains unoccupied after she relocated with her family to Los Angeles.
The former SM:TV Live presenter and her husband Patrick Kielty made the transatlantic move last year, leaving behind their stunning five-bedroom Victorian villa in the capital's sought-after Chiswick area.
A Home Full of Memories
The couple had lovingly renovated the property, which features a spacious garden and modern interiors, creating what friends describe as their "dream family home". Sources close to the presenter reveal she's particularly emotional about the house sitting empty as it holds so many precious memories.
Property Market Challenges
Despite the home's desirable location and high-end finishes, the property has reportedly failed to attract suitable tenants at the £6,500 per month asking price. Local estate agents suggest the current rental market may be impacting their chances of finding occupants.
"It's a beautiful home in a fantastic location, but the rental market in London has softened recently," one property expert commented. "At that price point, tenants have become more selective."
Family Life in LA
Deeley and Kielty, who share two young sons, are said to be settling well into their new Californian lifestyle. The move was prompted by Deeley landing her dream job as co-host of So You Think You Can Dance in the US.
Friends say while the family are enjoying their new adventure, Deeley still considers London "home" and hopes to return one day. "Cat put her heart into that house," a friend revealed. "It's where they started their family, so letting go completely is tough."
