Brighton has been crowned the UK's fish and chip capital, boasting 84 fish and chip restaurants listed on TripAdvisor, according to an analysis by GJW Direct. The Sussex seaside city offers more choice than any other UK seaside destination for enjoying the classic British meal.

Top Seaside Destinations for Fish and Chips

The study examined 50 of the UK's most popular seaside resorts. Southend-on-Sea in Essex came second with 79 options, while Blackpool in Lancashire secured third place with 75 chip shops. Scarborough (72) and Whitby (69) rounded out the top five.

Other notable destinations include Weymouth (53), Bournemouth (52), Hastings (50), Great Yarmouth (49), and Llandudno (43).
