Boots has brought back its Star Gift festive offering for 2026, and this week's selection includes the Boots X Redken Beauty Icons Gift Set. Worth £69.97, shoppers can buy it for £35, a saving of nearly 50%.
The set contains five Redken products, one of which is full-sized. Each item works out to cost £7, offering a budget-friendly way to try new products or stock up on favourites.
What's inside the gift set
First in the box is the One United Multi-Benefit Treatment Spray, worth £25.50. The lightweight, deeply conditioning spray reduces dryness and enhances the caring properties of other products, softening styling treatments for smooth and nourished results. It leaves hair softer, stronger and easier to manage with added shine and improved frizz control. It can be applied after cleansing, between washes, as a rinse-out treatment or as a leave-in conditioner.
The set also includes a travel-sized Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-In Treatment, which provides heat protection up to 230°C, smoothes, tames frizz, adds shine and conditions to help reduce hair breakage. Formulated with an acidic pH, it defends against the potential negative effects of hair colouring, bleaching and heat styling.
Gloss and care products
Also included is the Acidic Color Gloss Heat Protection Leave-In Treatment. With Redken's Acidic Shine Complex and Invisible Shield Technology, it deposits a professional gloss that leaves hair feeling healthy and hydrated for up to 72 hours. The complex restores hair to its healthiest pH and seals the cuticle, keeping colour vibrant. The technology protects from heat damage up to 230°C and other dulling agents.
Finally, the set features the All Soft Shampoo and All Soft Conditioner. Both are enriched with argan oil for dry, brittle hair, designed to instantly detangle and replenish moisture.
Shopper reviews
The set has received four reviews so far. One shopper said: "I love Redken products so I bought this set for my sister to try some of the bestsellers before committing to full sizes. It has everything you need for a complete haircare routine, and the full-size product alone is worth £25. It’s really good value for money."
A second wrote: "I found Redken prices intimidating so this was a good chance to try out their products. I have straight, high porosity hair and am overall pleased with the value for this set. The Acidic Colour Gloss and Acidic Bonding Concentrate worked wonders for shine and making my hair less frizzy, the One United Spray also helped. The All Soft shampoo was a dud for me - my hair didn’t feel clean after using it on different occasions. The conditioner is ok though and did make my hair softer."
"So happy that the Christmas beauty boxes are back," a third penned. "I have been debating whether to buy a couple of these Redken products like the shampoo, conditioner and heat spray but I didn’t want to commit to the full size ones. As soon as I saw this I bought it. I'm now waiting to see if the Kerastase one is just as good."
One shopper, however, gave it a three-star review. They shared: "Not worth it. Most of these are minis, except one. Great products, just think that other Boots Beauty Boxes have been better value."
