I've never liked cleaning windows, and I suspect many others feel the same. Among the endless list of household chores, window cleaning often takes the most time and usually ends with me stepping back to admire my work only to discover streaks I've missed. Despite trying various products over the years, I had never achieved truly streak-free, shining windows—until I bought a 2-in-1 Spray Window Cleaner from B&M for just £4.99.
Simple Design, Impressive Results
The Beldray product, found hanging next to buckets and mops, is essentially a spray bottle with a microfibre pad on one side of the handle and a squeegee on the other. The process is straightforward: spray the glass, wipe with the pad, then use the squeegee to remove the water. A cloth or kitchen roll is needed to clean excess water from the squeegee between wipes to avoid dragging dirt across the glass.
This tool mimics what professional window cleaners use, but on a smaller scale. I was amazed at how well it cleaned my windows—not just the quality, but the speed. I completed a window in a fraction of the time I used to take, and I was finally satisfied with the result.
Cost-Effective and Reusable
The best part is that after the initial £4.99 purchase, ongoing costs are minimal. The bottle requires only a tiny amount of washing-up liquid and water, and a full bottle lasts a long time. The microfibre pad detaches easily for machine washing and is treated with an antimicrobial treatment to resist staining and bacteria buildup, keeping it cleaner and fresher for longer. I've washed it multiple times, and it works as well as when new.
While there are many methods for cleaning windows, this one works for me. It will never be a favorite chore, but at least now it takes less time and I don't have to grimace at smudges I can't remove.
