To avoid last-minute stock shortages, retailers have launched budget-friendly 'back to school' uniform bundles, with prices starting from just £5 for a full outfit.

Sainsbury's Tu Clothing Offers Prices from £3

Sainsbury's Tu Clothing label provides one of the cheapest deals, with prices as low as £3 for a two-pack of polo shirts. Items feature reinforced knees, permanent pleats, colour-retaining fabrics and scuff-resistant finishes for durability. Non-iron shirts, stain-resistant finishes, touch-and-close fastenings and pull-on trousers aid busy lifestyles and children's independence. Sainsbury's has locked prices for a fourth year, with two full uniforms costing £14 (or £7 each) when buying select multipacks of shirts, trousers or a skirt, and a pair of shoes. The range is available online at tu.co.uk, argos.co.uk and in over 400 Sainsbury's stores.

M&S 20% Off Event from July 2

M&S school uniform range is available now, with a 20% off event starting Thursday, July 2, for a limited time. Multipacks start at £7 for three shirts (about £2.30 each). Other items include gingham dresses, trousers, jumpers, thermal lunchboxes and backpacks. Features include StayNew technology to prevent colour fading, anti-stain fabrics, easy-to-iron finish, adjustable waists and grow-with-me hems. Sizes range from 2-3 years to 17-18 years. Parents can shop in stores or online, and wait for the 20% discount from July 2.

Aldi's £5 Uniform Bundle Returns

Aldi's popular £5 uniform bundle landed back in stores on June 29. Available in sizes 4 to 12 years, the bundle includes a two-pack of polo shirts (£1.75), a sweatshirt/cardigan (£1.50), and trousers, pleated skirt or cargo shorts (£1.75). It comes with a 12-month satisfaction guarantee. Aldi also offers school shoes from £7.99 (leather shoes in sizes 10-4, including loafers, Mary Janes, and sneakers), football boots at £9.99, and accessories from £1.50. Stock is limited in the middle aisle.

Lidl's £5 Uniform Bundle with 12-Month Guarantee

Lidl also offers a £5 school uniform bundle with a 12-month satisfaction guarantee. It includes a two-pack of polo shirts (£1.75), a sweatshirt (£1.50), and trousers, skirt or shorts (£1.75). Designed for ages 4-12, the range also includes pinafores, jersey skirts, joggers or leggings from £4.99 for a two-pack. Features include elasticated waistbands, CREORA elastane for shape retention, water-repellent fabrics and pressed pleats. A five-pack of knee-high or ankle socks costs £2.49.
