Arnold Clark, one of the UK's largest car dealer groups, has confirmed the closure of its Renault and Dacia dealership in Inverness. The garage on Harbour Road will shut permanently on Tuesday, June 30.
Staff to Be Redeployed
The company, which operates over 200 dealerships across Britain and employs more than 10,000 people, has assured that all staff at the affected site will be offered roles at other local branches. Russell Borrie, CEO of Arnold Clark, stated: "Following careful consideration, we have taken the decision to close our Inverness Renault site. This was not a decision taken lightly, and our priority is to support our employees throughout this transition."
Customer Continuity
Existing customers will see services transferred to other Arnold Clark branches in the area. Mr Borrie added: "We remain committed to providing excellent service to our customers in the Inverness area and are working to ensure continuity, with a smooth transition of services to other local Arnold Clark branches."
Founded in 1954 by Sir Arnold Clark with just £70 of demobilisation money from the Royal Air Force, the Glasgow-based company has grown from a single showroom into a multi-billion pound enterprise. It sells around 300,000 cars from 32 manufacturers annually and is a leading leasing and rental provider.
