Argos shoppers can save £45 on the Argos Home Winchester 1 Drawer Console Table, now priced at £105 after a 30% discount with code RED30 at checkout, down from £150.
The table features a large drawer for clutter and two lower shelves for storing shoes. It has a wood-effect top for displaying items such as a key tray, lamp, and vase of flowers, with the frame available in three colours: natural, grey, and green. Self-assembly is required, with one person recommended for the task. The table measures H 80, W 79.6, D 33cm.
Shopper reviews highlight quality and assembly
On the Argos website, the table has an 83% recommendation rate. One shopper said: "Bought this a couple of weeks ago looks lovely in my passageway, would highly recommend." Another commented: "Love it. Using in bedroom. Good quality, stable and heavier than expected. Lovely colour. Assembly quite easy."
However, some shoppers found assembly challenging. One review reads: "This is an excellent table that matched perfectly with our kitchen. As people have said, the instructions are not very clear, and the items are not numbered to match the instructions, so I made two mistakes with the assembly, which could be easily corrected thankfully. Once properly assembled the table is very stable and heavy, so it gives the impression of a quality item. Very happy with the item."
Alternative hallway console options
Shoppers seeking other hallway solutions might consider Dusk's Dora Dressing Table Console, usually £159 but reduced to £135.15 with code EXTRA15. It comes in a light wood finish with two spacious drawers, a geo-textured front, and gold handles. Tall legs allow a chair to fit underneath, and shoppers report using it as a dressing table or for hallway storage. The dark wood version has sold out due to high demand.
Another option is the Olney Console Table from Dunelm, on sale from £149 to £119.20 in the dark oak effect finish. It features a three-drawer composition with a lower shelf.
