Kettle features and performance
The Cookworks Texture Tilly Kettle is powered by a 3,000W element that rapidly boils water. Its 1.7L capacity holds enough water to fill up to eight cups at once.
The kettle comes in a black silhouette with vertical textured lines across the device. It includes a removable, washable limescale filter that keeps water clean and makes maintenance easier.
Shopper reviews and alternatives
Shoppers who bought the kettle awarded it a near-perfect score of 4.7 stars on Argos. One customer wrote: "I needed a new kettle to replace the Cookworks one that was past its best. I am very pleased with this Tilly Kettle. It is not too noisy and boils quickly."
Another added: "Wanted a change from the glass kettle that shows limescale build up so this one fitted the bill and also matches well with other appliances in terms of colour texture and make." A third said: "Good little kettle that doesn't take up to much counter space."
While a fourth said: "An excellent kettle, looks great, boils quickly. Certainly a fantastic kettle for a very good price." A fifth added: "Bought this along with the matching toaster and am very pleased. It is slightly wobbly on the base which I thought would be an issue but it isn’t."
However, one less pleased customer wrote: "I’ve had Cookworks before and been very pleased This kettle looks good, us the catch for opening the lid is very temperamental, sometimes taking a few times to actually open the lid." Another added: "I bough this a few weeks ago to replace my old kettle. Was on offer good value, has a filter and clean water. Only issue I would say is a bit loud on boiling compared to my previous kettle."
