The Lego Botanicals Mini Orchid Artificial Plant Set has been reduced from £25 to £17 in Argos' Black Friday sale, and a cashback offer can bring the price down to as little as £1.29.
With less than two months until Christmas, shoppers looking for stocking fillers can stack the store's discount with a sign-up bonus from TopCashback. New members of the money-saving website receive a £15 bonus when they spend £15 or more at Argos, which cuts the price of the set to £1.29 after cashback.
Existing Argos customers who join TopCashback get a slightly reduced cashback rate, making the set £1.93 after the offer is applied. These prices assume free click and collect; standard delivery starts from £4.95 and is free for small items on orders over £100.
How the cashback offer works
To take advantage of the deal, shoppers need to sign up as a new member at TopCashback, search for 'Argos' on the site, click through and buy the item normally. The cashback is not paid instantly and can take up to seven days to land in accounts.
The set is designed with adults in mind and features five orchid flowers in bloom plus a few in bud, along with leaves and a light terracotta flowerpot on a wood-effect plinth. It is part of the classic quartet known as the Four Gentlemen in traditional art, where the orchid represents spring and is believed to symbolise new beginnings.

Elsewhere, the Airfix Starter Set A55001 Supermarine Spitfire has been reduced to £12.49 from £13.40 on Amazon, and the Meccano Builders 151 Piece Free Play Bucket Construction Set is down to £24 from £30 at The Entertainer.
The Lego Botanicals set has received 141 five-star reviews on Argos. One shopper said: "I bought this instead of flowers for a friend's new job. She loved it. Looks very expensive and unique." Another wrote: "Another excellent addition to the Lego Botanicals range. Looks great. Less pieces than other sets but some a bit fiddly for older fingers."
Some builders have noted that the set is quite small and assembling the tiny flower components can be fiddly. The finished model can also be fragile, with flowers or leaves easily detaching if the pot is bumped or while dusting. One reviewer added: "A bit more fiddly than some other botanical sets but well worth it. It looks really pretty on my botanicals shelf."
