Argos has cut the price of the Freddie Storage Cabin Bed to £99, down from £150, offering a saving of £51 — one-third off the original price. The bed combines sleeping and storage in one unit, with a built-in cupboard, shelf and open cubby underneath for toys, books and games.
Design and Features
The Freddie Storage Cabin Bed is available in white with a wood-effect frame. It is designed to hold a single mattress at a lower height, making it easier for children aged four and above to climb in and out safely. The bed has a maximum user weight of 100kg and can also accommodate teenagers.
Argos notes that wall mounting is required for stability, and self-assembly is necessary — recommended for two people. The mattress is sold separately.
Customer Reviews
The bed holds a 3.9 out of five rating from 546 reviews on the Argos website. One happy customer wrote: "Absolutely brilliant. Loads of storage, easy assembly, looks great and fits perfectly in my son's room, which is on the small side. Really sturdy."
Another reviewer said: "A lovely bed once put together, very easy to assemble. Very strong, excellent storage space and a very stable bed."
However, not all feedback was positive. One buyer commented: "There is a big gap between the doors and they don't really close properly. One is a bit stiff to close." Another critic noted: "The picture instructions were confusing. My normally patient and competent husband found them infuriatingly inadequate."
