Amazon's 31 Gym Leggings Outperform 90 Brands in Test

Amazon's own brand of gym leggings has been found to outperform 90 other brands in a recent test by Marie Claire UK. The senior health editor, Ally Head, a nine-time marathon runner with nearly a decade of experience testing workout gear, conducted the assessment. The leggings were tested over multiple workouts, including runs and gym sessions, to evaluate fit, sweat-wicking, and durability.

Head noted that the Amazon leggings offered a high-waisted, flattering fit that did not roll down or feel restrictive. They performed well across various activities such as Pilates, strength training, yoga, and running. The darker colourways were particularly effective at hiding sweat patches, while the fabric provided good support without being too compressive.

In comparison, other popular brands like Adanola and Lululemon were also highlighted. Adanola was praised for its affordable yet high-quality leggings that work well for multiple workout types. Lululemon's Wunder Train leggings were recommended for their sweat-wicking fabric and support, though the brand's naming system can be confusing. The test emphasised that mid-range price points often offer the best value for frequent use.

The article, first published in March 2024 and regularly updated, aims to help readers choose gym leggings that fit well, wick sweat effectively, and last long. All products were personally tested by the editor, with no items included that she had not tried herself.
