Amazon has cut the price of the Ring Battery Video Doorbell Plus from £129.99 to £49.99, offering shoppers a saving of £80 during its latest sale. The 62% discount is available for a limited time and ends after the official Big Deal Days sale.
Amazon is describing the offer as its 'best' deal so far of 2026 on the doorbell model. The online shopping platform claims that this price matches the one from the last Prime Day sale in June 2026.
What the Ring doorbell offers
According to Ring, the device lets users know who is on their property whenever the doorbell is pressed or motion is detected. It comes with "enhanced" HD video, giving customers a "clearer picture of what's going on" when someone approaches their home.
Shoppers have left thousands of five-star reviews on Amazon for the product. One review said: "The picture quality is clear, notifications come through quickly and the app makes it easy to see who is at the door and speak to them when needed."
Shopper feedback and alternatives
Another customer commented: "Installation was easier than expected and the app is very user-friendly. It gives great peace of mind when I’m away from home." A third reviewer noted: "Fitting was relatively easy, although I needed to see how via watching YouTube videos. Ring should also advertise that if the camera is stolen, they will replace it. I never knew this but it is a huge selling point."
Some shoppers did report issues. One person claimed their doorbell failed to detect visitors properly, saying: "Despite setting detection areas, the camera regularly fails to detect the postman or others coming right up to my front door, yet warns me there's someone 'at my front door' when it's a passer-by at the end of my path three metres away and outside the set detection zone!"
While Ring is a leading smart doorbell brand, alternatives are available elsewhere. Argos is selling the Tapo D210 2K 3MP Video Doorbell with Chime for £44.99, and Currys has the TOUCAN V3 1296p WiFi Video Doorbell and Chime for £97.99.
Subscription details
Customers who want more from their Ring system can invest in the company's monthly subscription service. While it is not strictly required and new devices come with a month-long trial of the Pro features, the device will not record or save any footage without one. Without a subscription, users only get live notifications and two-way talk.
