Aldi has announced a new 'winter warmer' SpecialBuy range arriving in stores on Sunday, January 11, offering shoppers affordable alternatives to pricier items from retailers like Dunelm, Lakeland, and The White Company. The launch comes as the UK faces bitterly cold weather, with the Met Office issuing a rare red weather warning for south-west England due to Storm Goretti, alongside multiple yellow and amber warnings for snow and ice.
The range includes a Foot Warmer Hot Water Bottle (£5.99) and a Long Hot Water Bottle (£5.99), both designed to provide wearable warmth. Aldi claims customers can save up to 87% compared to similar products from The White Company, whose Super Soft Faux Fur Long Hot Water Bottle costs £45. Other clothing items include a Ladies' Lounge Cardigan (£9.99) with a hood and deep pockets, and Fleece Lined Leggings (£5.99).
For home warmth, Aldi offers a Heated Blanket (£29.99) with four temperature levels, a Luxury Soft Throw (£12.99) in corduroy, and a Heated Mattress Pad (double £19.99, king £22.99) with dual heating zones. The range also features heated airers: the Winged Heated Airer (£34.99) is half the price of Lakeland's £69.99 version, while the Upright Heated Airer (£69.99) saves over £55 compared to Dunelm's £125 model.
An Aldi spokesperson said: 'As temperatures drop, Aldi's winter warmer collection has everything needed to keep cosy. With a price difference of up to 87% compared to The White Company, shoppers needn't worry about January blues. But warmth seekers better be quick because, as with all Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone.'
