Money-saving expert Jordan Cox, known as Britain’s Coupon Kid, has revealed a hidden code on Aldi price labels that can help shoppers identify products about to be discontinued. The trick involves spotting a 'D' symbol in the top right corner of the price tag, which indicates the item will not be restocked once it sells out.
Mr Cox shared the tip on Instagram, explaining that the code often appears on Specialbuys and limited-time items, but can also be found elsewhere in the store. He advised shoppers to stock up on such products if they want them, as they will disappear from shelves permanently.
Since the advice went viral, many Aldi customers have expressed frustration at not knowing about the code earlier. One shopper, Sarah Golding-Keanne, commented: “I wish I knew that yesterday.” Another, Dorothy, added: “Ohhh I wish I knew this before they discontinued the rocky road bites. They were one of their best cakes.”
However, some shoppers claimed they were already aware of the trick. Steven, one such individual, wrote: “It’s not a secret!”
