Aldi has been named the winner of the 2026 Good Housekeeping Institute Christmas Taste Test for its Specially Selected Double Wrapped Pigs in Blankets, priced at £2.69 for 250g. The product topped the 'Classic Pigs in Blankets' category, beating 25 other entries from major supermarkets and online butchers.
Aldi's festive success
The win comes after Aldi was revealed by consumer group Which? to be the cheapest supermarket in the UK for the 11th month in a row earlier in October. Aldi took home 13 first and second-place finishes at the 2026 Good Housekeeping Institute Christmas Taste Test.

Taste test details
The Good Housekeeping Institute tasted 26 pigs in blankets from all the major supermarkets and online butchers. Each was cooked and prepared in accordance with the packet instructions and served blind to a panel of consumers.
