Aldi's New 'Winter Warmer' Range Saves Shoppers Up to 87% vs Dunelm & The White Company
Aldi's budget winter warmers launch as cold snap hits UK

Budget supermarket giant Aldi is launching a major new range of affordable heating and cosy home essentials this weekend, promising savings of up to 87% compared to premium retailers. The 'winter warmer' collection arrives as the UK braces for a severe cold snap, offering timely solutions for households looking to stay warm without cranking up the heating.

Beat the Big Freeze for Less

The new Aldi Specialbuy line launches in stores across the UK on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Its arrival coincides with a period of extreme weather, including a rare Met Office red warning for high winds in south-west England and widespread yellow and amber alerts for snow and ice. With energy bills also a concern following Ofgem's price cap adjustment, the range is poised to be a hit with cost-conscious consumers.

"As temperatures drop Aldi’s winter warmer collection has everything needed to keep cosy," a spokesperson for the retailer stated. They warned that the products, typical of Aldi's Specialbuys, are likely to sell out rapidly.

Key Products and Massive Savings

The collection features a variety of items designed to tackle winter chills. A standout is the Foot Warmer Hot Water Bottle for £5.99, featuring a plush finish and two pockets for wearable warmth. For a full-body option, the Long Hot Water Bottle, also £5.99, offers a 2L capacity.

Aldi highlights that choosing its long bottle over a similar £45 version from The White Company represents a staggering saving of £39.01. The supermarket also debuts a Ladies’ Lounge Cardigan (£9.99) and Fleece Lined Leggings (£5.99) for extra layers.

Heated Essentials for Home and Drying

For home comfort, Aldi is offering a Heated Blanket for £29.99 with four heat settings and a machine-washable Luxury Soft Throw for £12.99. A Heated Mattress Pad starts at £19.99 for a double size.

The range also sees the return of Aldi's popular heated airers. The Winged Heated Airer is priced at £34.99, which Aldi claims is half the price of Lakeland's £69.99 equivalent. For larger drying needs, the Upright Heated Airer costs £69.99, saving over £55 compared to a similar £125 model from Dunelm. Both come with covers to retain heat.

To combat winter damp, a Midi Dehumidifier will be available for £89.99, capable of extracting up to 12 litres of moisture per day.

A Timely Launch for Winter Woes

This strategic launch addresses multiple winter concerns simultaneously: plummeting temperatures, high energy costs, and damp laundry. By providing direct, cheaper alternatives to products from retailers like Dunelm, Lakeland, and The White Company, Aldi is positioning itself as a key destination for practical, budget-friendly solutions during the cost-of-living crisis and the deep freeze.
