Aldi shoppers are raving about a £4.99 shower oil that has been compared to a much pricier L'Occitane alternative. The budget supermarket's Lacura Almond Gentle Shower Oil is said to rival L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil, which costs £24 for 250ml, £43 for 500ml, or £38 for a 500ml refill.
TikTok content creator @Caledwards shared a video showcasing the Aldi product, claiming it 'smells identical' to the high-end version. In the clip, he said: 'I honestly think this is Aldi's best [alternative] to date. I am an avid user of the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil, which cost £37 a bottle. So when I seen that Aldi had released their own version for £4.99, I left the house straight away.'
After testing both products, Cal noted that the scent on the Aldi version is 'just a tiny bit weaker' but otherwise felt 'zero difference' in how they made his skin feel. The review garnered over 120,000 views and 7,000 likes, with many viewers praising the budget buy.
One excited comment read: 'IM GONNA RUN THERE NOW.' Another fan said: 'I picked it up today, and it is such a good [alternative] I can’t tell the difference.' However, some shoppers still preferred the original, with one stating: 'I've used both and while the Aldi one is good, the OG is much better.'
