Aldi is adding a new laundry gadget to its Middle Aisle Special Buys, offering a cheaper alternative to a similar product at B&Q. The budget supermarket will release the Addis Three-Tier Airer for £14.99 on Thursday, July 30.
Features and design
The airer comes in black or grey and provides 16 meters of drying space. It has pull-out arms for extra hanging space and a built-in anti-collapse mechanism that folds down easily for storage. A locking clip secures it in place. Aldi says the drying bars are spaced to maximise airflow and speed up drying time. The product comes with a three-year warranty and is described as strong yet lightweight.
Comparison with B&Q
B&Q sells a similar Indoor and Outdoor Clothes Airer for £39.99. That version offers 20 meters of drying space across three hanging levels and is made of powder-coated steel that is rust-proof and waterproof. B&Q says it is designed to save energy and money by drying laundry naturally.
Additional Aldi laundry item
Aldi is also launching a Peg Basket and Sock Hanger for £2.49 on Thursday. It features a foldable design with adjustable hooks and includes 36 pegs. Aldi says it helps keep small garments organised and secure while drying. It is available in grey or green.
