Aldi shoppers are celebrating as a popular £11.99 item returns to shelves just in time for Father's Day. The supermarket chain is bringing back its cult favourite 'Godfather' steak, which has gained a devoted following among customers.

Aldi is reintroducing its enormous 28oz Godfather Rump Steak, priced at £11.99. The 794g British rump steak is aged for 21 days and will be available in stores from 15 June. The steak's comeback has sparked excitement on social media, particularly on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page.

The Godfather steak is part of Aldi's Father's Day meat collection, which also includes a new Flat Iron Man Steak. This extra-large British beef cut is priced at £15.99 per kilogram and is designed as a showstopper for barbecues and family gatherings.

For those looking to indulge further, Aldi is also bringing back its Specially Selected Wagyu Bone-In Sirloin at £34.99 per kilogram. A new addition to the range is the Specially Selected Bourbon Beef Short Rib, priced at £11.99 per kilogram, slow-cooked in a bourbon barbecue sauce for a rich, smoky flavour.

To complete the meal, shoppers can pair the steaks with Aldi's Skin On Beef Dripping Chips, Specially Selected Chunky Oven Chips, or Cavolo Nero side dishes. The Father's Day range will be available in Aldi stores nationwide from 15 June, subject to availability.
