Aldi has released data showing the quietest shopping periods during the summer holidays, aiming to help families avoid crowds and save time. The supermarket's in-store data indicates that the best times to shop are before 10am and after 8pm on weekdays, with Saturday evenings also offering a quieter window for weekend shoppers.
Aldi’s Advice for Families This Summer
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: 'We know the school holidays can be a busy and expensive time for families, so we want to make shopping as simple and affordable as possible. By visiting during quieter periods and making use of Aldi’s everyday value, shoppers can save both time and money this summer.'
Aldi has invested more than £200 million in price cuts so far this year. The supermarket is also reminding customers of additional savings, including its 'Super 6' fresh produce deals, red sticker reductions, weekly offers, and Specialbuys.
Summer Support Scheme and Other Initiatives
Families are invited to join Aldi’s Summer Support Scheme, where each day in July and August, one family can win a £50 Aldi voucher to help with the costs of feeding and entertaining children during the school holidays.
Aldi stated: 'By shopping during quieter periods and making use of Aldi’s latest savings initiatives, families can make their money go further throughout the school holidays.'
Every two weeks, Aldi offers six fruit and veg items at low prices. Shoppers can stock up and freeze any suitable items they will not eat straight away. Aldi’s Fresh Guarantee also means customers who are not 100% satisfied with their fruit and veg can return it for a full refund.
