Aldi is introducing a three-bottle limit on its “viral” Le Grand Poulet Rosé Magnum (1500ml) from August 27 to September 2, when it will be reduced to £9.99. The supermarket says the bottle can be defined by its “freshness and character” and has now introduced a bottle that is bigger and better value than ever.
What to know about the limited rosé
Equivalent to two standard bottles, the 150cl magnum is perfect for ensuring no party runs dry, whether it's a summer picnic or a dinner party. The Aldi wine is said to boast refreshing aromas of citrus fruits and red berries. Aldi describes it as a “light, dry rosé” which is “crisp on the palate”.
Wine influencer Sam Caporn recently took to Instagram to praise the new arrival as a “gorgeous magnum” and “even more of a winner!”. Shoppers can also pick up the standard-sized counterpart, Le Petit Poulet Rosé (£6.29, 75cl).
Superfam Pass competition details
In other news for the supermarket, Aldi is giving families the chance to get their hands on Aldi's brand-new Superfam Pass, which offers one lucky household a full year of free groceries. The discounter is on the lookout for a household of devoted Aldi shoppers, offering them the chance to have a year’s shopping covered.
The winning household will receive Aldi’s exclusive Superfam Pass, which offers £800 worth of free shopping every month across the year, totalling £9,600. The lucky winner will be able to shop everything from weekly essentials and fresh favourites to iconic middle aisle finds.
The Superfam Pass holders will also receive a whole host of Specialbuys tailored to their household, from toys and activities to homeware and garden equipment worth £400 as part of the prize, helping to keep the whole household stocked up throughout the year.
Bank holiday opening hours and quiet times

Aldi has also shared its opening hours for the upcoming August bank holiday. Stores across England and Wales will be open from 8am until 8pm on bank holiday Monday, August 31, while stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland will operate their usual opening hours.
Helpfully, Aldi has also shared the “quietest” times to shop — and going at 7pm could be a good move if you want to avoid the masses. Aldi explained that, for shoppers hoping to avoid the busiest periods, data from last year’s August bank holiday weekend shows that 8am-9am and 7pm-8pm were the quietest times to shop. Opening times can vary by location, so customers are encouraged to check the Aldi website for their local store’s hours before heading to stores.
