Aldi UK has announced a partnership with Deliveroo to launch rapid home delivery, marking the first service of its kind from a discount supermarket in the UK. The trial begins on Tuesday, October 6, at eight stores, with a nationwide rollout planned for early 2027.
How the service works
Customers will be able to order around 2,000 Aldi products through the Deliveroo app, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, household essentials and Specialbuys. Deliveroo Riders will pick, pack and deliver orders directly from stores, modelled on Aldi's existing partnerships with DoorDash, Deliveroo's parent company, in the United States and Australia.
Shoppers can order on-demand or choose a delivery window that suits them, with orders delivered straight to their door. Aldi products on the Deliveroo app will be priced lower than any other supermarket offering rapid delivery.

The trial will be available at the following stores:

- Avenue One, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2HU

- Friary Place, Strood, ME2 4TP
- Glascote Road, Tamworth, B77 2BS
