Aldi is set to launch a portable air cooler with LED for £14.99 as Scotland experiences its hottest day of 2026. The supermarket's Specialbuys range, arriving on Thursday, July 2, aims to help customers stay cool amid soaring temperatures.

Scotland recorded its hottest day of 2026 on June 25, with Threave in Dumfries and Galloway reaching 31.2°C. Forecasts predict parts of the country could rise to 29°C in early July, according to WXCharts.

The Portable Air Cooler with LED uses water and ice evaporation technology to lower room temperature. Aldi describes it as a "genius" cost-effective alternative to expensive air conditioning units. It features a sleek LED touch display and three speed settings.
Alongside the portable cooler, Aldi's range includes the Fan with Flexible Tripod (£6.99), which can clip onto desks or be taken outdoors. The Globe Fan with Multi-direction (£39.99) offers a 360-degree auto-rotating function with Sleep, Natural Wind, and Drying modes.
