Aldi has cut the price of two iconic Christmas chocolate tub favourites to £3.85 each, making them the cheapest on the market. From today, shoppers can pick up Quality Street (500g) and Cadbury Heroes (475g) for under £4 in Aldi stores nationwide.
40% cheaper than Sainsbury's
The tubs are 40% cheaper than Sainsbury's, saving shoppers £2.65 on the same product. Even with a Nectar card, Sainsbury's Cadbury Heroes tub is still 22% more than Aldi's.
The deal lands as early festive planners look to spread the cost of Christmas, with the price drop on the tubs starting from today - so shoppers can stock up early. The deal is not currently available in Scotland.
Weight reductions and rival prices
Heroes, Celebrations, Roses and Quality Street tubs are already stacked high across supermarkets. The weight for Cadbury Heroes and Roses is down from 550g a year ago, meaning that shoppers are getting around 13% less in the tubs than in 2025.
Last year, Morrisons sold 550g of Quality Street, Heroes and Roses for £7. Celebrations were 500g but still cost £7, although varying More card offers were available across the season. Morrisons has this month been selling all four of the popular tubs at £7, with More cardholders getting them for £4.95.
Other supermarket offers
Asda has been selling all four options for £5.72. Tesco has been selling Quality Street with a Clubcard price of £3.95, Celebrations 500g with a Clubcard price of £3.95, while both Roses and Heroes have had a Clubcard price offering 25% off, making them £5.25.
