Aldi has relaunched its Summer Support Scheme, offering £50 vouchers to customers across the UK. The scheme, now in its second year, was introduced in 2025 to assist families with the added costs of caring for children during school holidays.
How the Scheme Works
Parents can apply for the scheme, with over £3,000 worth of Aldi vouchers to be distributed throughout July and August. One winner is selected each day of the school holidays to receive a £50 voucher. Families can use the voucher on essential items from the supermarket, which consumer group Which? has named Britain's cheapest.
Aldi's judges will randomly select seven entrants each week during the giveaway, except for the first week when six entrants will be chosen. A total of 62 prizes are available during the competition.
How to Enter
To enter, customers must submit their name and email address to SummerSupportScheme@aldi.co.uk. The scheme follows Aldi's popular Mamia New Parent Fund, which provided £100 Aldi vouchers to parents every week for a year to help with everyday costs after having a new baby.
Support for Families
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, stated: "The summer break can put extra pressure on finances, especially when it comes to keeping children fed, entertained and active during the holidays. As the UK’s cheapest supermarket, we’re committed to helping families make their money go further all year round, and this scheme is another way we’re supporting parents during one of the most expensive times of the year."
Aldi's Expansion
Aldi is expanding across the UK and recently became the fifth-largest supermarket, overtaking Morrisons. The chain plans to open numerous new stores in the coming years, with 16 locations already confirmed for the next few months.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: "At Aldi, we’re committed to making high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone, which is why we continue to invest in expanding our store network across the UK. Our £370 million investment in new stores this year will help us bring Aldi’s unbeatable value to even more communities, supporting local economies through our industry-leading pay for colleagues."
