Aldi has announced the return of its beloved under-£10 deal to stores across the UK. The budget supermarket revealed on Thursday that its "hugely popular" Bilash range is back - a "premium Indian inspired collection of fakeaway favourites". Customers can pick up "two must-have mains and two tasty sides" for less than £10, a fraction of the cost of ordering a takeaway.
New mains and sides added to the lineup
The eight main courses are individually priced at £3.49, and this includes two brand new options - Chicken Jalfrezi and Beef Madras. Further "classics" on offer include Chicken Tikka, Chicken Biryani, Paneer Curry, Chicken Korma, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Hot Butter Chicken. All main dishes come in 400g portions.
Sides are priced at £1.49 apiece, bringing the combined total for two mains and two sides to £9.96. On this occasion, Aldi has added a two-pack Peshwari Naan and Bombay Aloo and Saag Paneer (300g) to the lineup, reports the Liverpool Echo.
More side options and new desserts
Additional side options include Peshwari / Mushroom / Pilau Rice (300g), Chicken Pakora (100g), Dip Selection Trio (150g), Plain / Garlic and Coriander Naan (2 pack), and Onion Bhajis or Samosas (100g).
An Aldi spokesperson said: "Whether shoppers are planning a cosy night in or the ultimate fakeaway feast, Aldi's Bilash range has everything needed for a luxurious curry night without the luxurious price tag."
Aldi has also introduced some "delicious" cheesecake cookie sandwiches to its branches this week. Now on sale in selected stores at £2.99 for a two-pack, the desserts are available in Belgian White Chocolate and Raspberry and Belgian Milk Chocolate and Caramel flavours.
Aldi said: "From an afternoon pick-me-up to a showstopping post-dinner treat, shoppers will want to grab a slice of the action before the treats fly off the shelves."
