Aldi Brings Back £5 School Uniform Bundle to Help Parents Save

Aldi has brought back its popular £5 school uniform bundle to help parents manage the financial strain of back-to-school shopping. The budget supermarket is offering the bundle in stores from 28th June, with individual items starting at £1.50.

Bundle Contents and Pricing

The bundle is available for children aged 4-12 years and includes a choice of two Girls’ Polo Shirts (£1.75) with ruffle collar detail or classic Boys’ Polo Shirts (£1.75), both in white or blue. Also included is a navy or red Sweatshirt (£1.50) or Cardigan (£1.50) in red, and a choice of either girls' or boys' Trousers (£1.75), a Pleated Skirt (£1.75), or Cargo Shorts (£1.75) in grey.

Comparison with Other Retailers

While Aldi's prices undercut many high street competitors, other retailers like M&S, Lidl, Matalan, and Asda also offer school uniforms. M&S uniforms are more expensive but known for durability, with knit cardigans (£13-£19), unisex polo shirts (£7-£15), and school trousers (£11-£17). Next's back-to-school range combines quality and style, with smart shirts, trousers, dresses, and shoes, though at higher prices.
