Home News Delivery (HND) Month 2026 begins today (1 October), featuring exclusive customer offers and more than £10,000 worth of prizes throughout the month. Now in its fourth year, the industry-wide campaign, facilitated by the Fed, runs throughout October, celebrating the community service provided by news retailers and their delivery teams while helping stores attract new customers and grow their home delivery rounds.
Retailer and industry support
A total of 858 retailers have registered for this year's campaign, with strong support also coming from across the newspaper and magazine industry.
Customers can take advantage of a range of HND subscription offers during the month. These include six issues of the Financial Times for £15; six months half price from Reach, the Daily Mail and i Paper; a seven-day Telegraph print subscription for £78 or weekend subscription for £34.74; and savings of up to 68% on the Guardian and the Observer.
Magazine participation and prizes
Magazine publishers Frontline and Marketforce are also supporting HND Month, with 12 magazine titles participating, extending the campaign beyond newspapers and giving customers the opportunity to receive their first magazine issue free through HND.
Participating retailers will have plenty of opportunities to benefit too, with more than £10,000 worth of prizes available during October. At the heart of the activity is the return of the £200 Daily Prize Draw, with one registered retailer selected every day throughout the month. Winners will be announced at 10am each day on the HND Month website and will have three days to claim their prize. Once verified, winnings will be credited directly through the retailer's wholesale news account.
Fed president's message
Fed national president Hemanshu Patel said the campaign was an opportunity to recognise the work of retailers and delivery teams while encouraging more customers to experience the convenience of having newspapers and magazines delivered directly to their homes.
He said: “HND Month shines a spotlight on the tireless efforts of retailers and delivery teams, and the valuable community service they provide every day. It also presents a great opportunity for retailers to attract new customers and grow their home delivery business.
“Home news delivery remains a vital backbone for many retailers and for the wider industry. The support we’ve received from publishers and wholesalers has been extremely encouraging, demonstrating what can be achieved when we work together for everyone’s benefit.
“To all retailers, thank you for your continued hard work and for participating in HND Month. I wish you every success throughout the campaign and hope you enjoy a very successful month.”
Campaign activities
Throughout October, participating retailers are being encouraged to actively promote the customer offers, make the most of the campaign material available and use HND Month as an opportunity to showcase their delivery service to potential new customers. The Fed is also asking retailers to share photographs of their displays and stories about their delivery rounds so their work can be celebrated throughout the campaign.
Retailers taking part should check the HND Month website every day during October for prize draw winners, competitions, giveaways, campaign updates and retailer stories.
