New Look Opens Largest UK Concept Store at Metrocentre

New Look is set to open its largest ever UK concept store at the Metrocentre this week, with queues expected as the fashion retailer marks a milestone in its investment into creating more connected shopping experiences. The new 11,000 sq ft store, located in the Red Mall fashion hub alongside Zara, Stradivarius, Urban Outfitters, and River Island, will feature an expanded womenswear, accessories, and 915 teen range, along with services like Click & Collect, self-service returns, order-in-store, and digital browsing.

Opening Day Experiences and Giveaways

To celebrate the launch, customers visiting on opening day can enjoy a programme of in-store experiences. The first 200 customers who make a purchase will receive goody bags, and surprise prizes will be hidden across the store. Complimentary matcha drinks will be served, and a DJ will provide live music.

Mark Matthews, retail director at New Look, said: "Opening our largest-ever concept store is a proud moment for New Look and reflects how we’re continuing to reimagine the role our stores play for customers. This space showcases the very best of what our omni-hub format can offer, combining a wider fashion range with smarter services and digital features that make shopping simpler, more inspiring and more connected than ever before."

Investment and Loyalty Programme Growth

The opening follows successful concept store launches at Bluewater, Lakeside, and Milton Keynes. New Look has invested £30m into digital capabilities to personalise shopping, and its Club New Look loyalty programme has surpassed one million members.

Ben Cox, director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, asset managers of Metrocentre, said: "We’re pleased to see New Look mark their 20-year presence at Metrocentre with this exciting new concept store in the latest evolution of that partnership. Womenswear is a strong category for Metrocentre and this launch builds brilliantly on the continuing momentum we’re creating in our fashion line-up, following Hollister’s recent opening and the signings of Bershka and Lefties, both due to open soon."

Metrocentre's Fashion Hub Evolution

The planned opening comes a day after Metrocentre bosses announced the first three independent retailers to take up space at The Crescent, a newly refurbished Forum area with Cafe Filto at its heart. The new store features refreshed fitting rooms and showroom-inspired displays to help customers shop seamlessly both in-store and online.
