Asda, Sainsbury, Morrisons Issue Urgent Food Recall – Full List

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued several urgent product recalls affecting popular food items sold at major UK supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco, and Waitrose. Consumers are advised not to eat the affected products and to return them for a full refund.

Morrisons Recalls Coronation Chicken Pasta and Crisps

Morrisons has withdrawn its Coronation Chicken Pasta 230g after some packages were found to contain Florida Salad, which includes milk not listed on the label. This poses a risk for those with milk allergies or intolerances. The affected packs have a use-by date of June 30 and batch code GBB 584 031.

Additionally, Morrisons is recalling its Maple & Bacon Back of the Net crisps (140g) with a best-before date of August 22 due to a packaging error that may result in undeclared milk. A Morrisons spokesman said: 'Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don't need a receipt.'

Morrisons Savers Cashews Withdrawn Over Glass Risk

Morrisons has also recalled its Savers Cashews 125g due to the possible presence of glass. The affected products have best-before dates of August 9, September 6, September 26, September 28, and October 9. The supermarket chain stated: 'No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.'

Fruit Packets Recalled Across Multiple Supermarkets Due to Salmonella

Prepworld has withdrawn several fruit packets sold at Morrisons, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose after testing revealed salmonella in apples and kiwi fruits. Affected products include:

  • Asda Pink Lady Apple, Mango, Strawberry & Blueberry – use-by June 23 and 24
  • Morrisons Kiwi, Melon & Strawberries – use-by June 24
  • Tesco Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry – use-by June 24
  • Tesco Kiwi Fruit Pot – use-by June 24
  • Waitrose Pink Lady Apple and Grapes – use-by June 23
  • Sainsbury's Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry – use-by June 23

  • Sainsbury's Pink Lady Apple & Grape – use-by June 23
  • Tesco Fruit Kebabs – use-by June 23

An FSA spokesperson warned: 'The possible presence of Salmonella in the products listed above. Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you should stay away from work, school or nursery until you have stopped having symptoms for at least 48 hours.'

Caramelised Red Onion Chutney Recalled Over Metal Fragments

Fox's Burton's Companies (FBC) UK is recalling Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney sold at Tesco and Sainsbury's due to possible metal fragments. The affected batches include multiple best-before dates for 195g and 1.35kg packs, ranging from April 2027 to February 2029. The product has been removed from Sainsbury's website and is listed as 'out of stock' on Tesco's online store.

Waitrose Hot Cross Buns Withdrawn Due to Undeclared Barley

Waitrose & Partners is recalling its Four Richly Fruited Hot Cross Buns because they contain barley, which is not listed on the packaging. Customers with a barley allergy should not consume the product and may return it for a full refund without a receipt.
