Irish television presenter Vogue Williams has welcomed the new year by offering her online followers an exclusive look inside her family's stunning modern property in Howth, Ireland. In a YouTube video published on Sunday, the 40-year-old star, accompanied by her husband, former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, 37, who filmed the tour, showcased their coastal retreat where they celebrated with their three young children.
A Peek Inside the Howth Haven
Greeting viewers at the entrance hall, Vogue said: 'Welcome to our house in Ireland, I hope that you like it here.' The property, which she purchased in late 2023, features striking contemporary design. Among its highlights is a huge pink kitchen complete with a marble island, which flows into a lounge area with a large television and a fireplace, creating a central hub for the family.
The home also boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows and contains a self-contained studio bedroom with its own kitchen. Vogue expressed her deep affection for the Irish house, stating, 'I just feel so calm and so relaxed here,' when discussing spending the festive season there.
Family-Focused Spaces and Stylish Interiors
The tour provided intimate glimpses into the personalised spaces designed for their children. The couple's daughter, five-year-old Gigi, enjoys a pink bedroom featuring a double bed, a cot, and an illuminated sign bearing her name on the wall. Their sons, seven-year-old Theo and three-year-old Otto, share a room guarded by a humorous 'danger keep out' sign, furnished with a bunk bed, a toy kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom.
Vogue also showed off a minimalistic playroom, cleverly designed with three archways leading to cupboards for hiding toys. Her own stylish bedroom features limewash walls, Con Brouder wardrobes, a large double bed, and cherished art from her late grandmother. She revealed that an adjoining room serves as a walk-in wardrobe to accommodate her extensive clothing collection.
London Moves and the 'Forever Home' Project
The Irish getaway follows a significant property shift in London. Last month, Vogue confirmed the couple had sold their Battersea apartment for £4.25 million and purchased a new London property they describe as their 'forever home'. The couple first listed their luxurious two-floor flat two years ago, ultimately slashing the asking price by a staggering £1 million before its sale.
Vogue explained that the family is currently in a rental property nearby while they embark on an extensive 18-month renovation project on their new period house. She detailed that the sale went through in June and her degree in quantity surveying is proving invaluable in managing the budget and reining in Spencer's more extravagant ideas.
'I walked in and I couldn't even hide from the estate agents that I had no intention of not owning that house,' she admitted about the purchase. The new London home retains original features like fireplaces and cornicing and has a large garden, where they plan to clear shrubbery to create a lawn for the children.
Reflecting on the move, Vogue shared her sentimental attachment to the old apartment but excitement for the future: 'We've lived here for seven years. It's the first place we lived together. All our kids were born here... but we have this amazing house that we're going to love so much.'
