Major Blaze Erupts in West London Industrial Area

A significant fire has broken out at a warehouse on Bridge Road in Southall, West London, prompting a large-scale emergency response.

The London Fire Brigade is currently tackling the industrial blaze with a substantial force. Around 100 firefighters operating from 15 fire engines are working to bring the situation under control.

Fire Service Statement and Public Health Warning

In an official statement, the London Fire Brigade confirmed the scale of the operation. "There are now 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters responding to the fire in #Southall," a spokesperson said.

The service issued an important health warning to local residents, stating, "Due to the large amount of smoke being produced by the fire, residents in the local area should keep doors and windows closed as crews respond."

Rapid Escalation and Traffic Impact

The incident escalated quickly. Approximately twenty minutes before the latest update, the fire service had reported that ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were at the scene.

Authorities have also warned that the emergency response is heavily impacting traffic in the area, advising motorists to avoid Bridge Road and its surroundings if possible.
