Six people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a home in Warrington late on Christmas Eve.
Fire crews were called to Fairbrother Crescent just before 9:15pm and found flames and smoke spreading from a ground-floor kitchen into a neighbouring property via a shared roof void.
Six firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to tackle the blaze, and large ventilation fans were later used to clear smoke. Seven people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, with six taken to hospital.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by a kitchen appliance. An investigation is underway.
