Rochelle Humes Reveals Progress on New Family Home Build

Rochelle Humes has admitted she and husband Marvin are 'winging it' as they build their dream family home from scratch. The couple, who have moved six times in 12 years, are now constructing what they hope will be their 'forever home' and are involving their three children in the design process.

Speaking to HELLO! magazine, Marvin Humes said: "We're doing a whole house! We're building a house! It's the first time we've done it. We've renovated before but this is the first time from scratch. This is the last one, I promise you." The JLS star added that it's exciting for the kids to help design parts of the property.

Rochelle, 35, admitted the timeline is uncertain. "We just need to gain a lot of patience because there are so many moving parts," she said. "People keep asking how long it will be, but we don't have an idea. We're just going with it. Hopefully we'll have a roof by next year."

Meanwhile, the couple have planned several UK staycations for the summer, including camping trips. Rochelle said she's 'winging it' until September, adding: "Our kids seem to have longer than ever before! We have staycays planned and want to get around the UK. We have an appreciation since COVID."

This comes after the couple faced some online backlash earlier this year over their extended luxury holiday to Dubai and the Maldives following Marvin's stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle. However, Rochelle has also shared heartfelt tributes to her husband, praising him as a role model for their son Blake.
