Former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens has given a glimpse into her London life, revealing her love for Hampstead, Topshop, and Heal's. The singer, who grew up near Southgate, currently owns a flat in Hampstead and has recently purchased a mews house in West Hampstead, where her mother lives.
Stevens, 26, plans to move into the mews house once decorated and rent out the flat. She describes Hampstead as 'pretty and villagey, but close to the city centre'. Her favourite shops include Topshop, where she last bought a tiny brown cardigan, and Heal's for home furnishings.
When it comes to dining, Stevens recommends Lemonia in Primrose Hill, where the atmosphere 'makes you feel as if you're on holiday'. She also enjoys Shumi and E&O in Notting Hill. For entertainment, she recently saw the play 'Oleanna' with Aaron Eckhart and Julia Stiles.
Stevens, who drives a silver Mercedes, admits to being a car fanatic and is considering buying a classic car at auction. She relies on Marks & Spencer for food, as she is 'not a very good cook'. Her current read is 'Perfume' by Patrick Süskind, which she describes as 'a bit grim'.
