Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has listed his luxury mansion in Grasscroft, Oldham for sale at £3.85 million. The property, which Scholes has owned for 20 years, boasts seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gym, a cinema, a spa, and its own five-a-side football pitch and putting green.
Scholes is the latest member of the Class of '92 to put a home on the market, joining former teammates Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, and Nicky Butt. All five co-own Salford City Football Club and are now seeking buyers for their multimillion-pound properties in and around Greater Manchester, with a combined asking price of nearly £25 million.
Some of these properties have proved difficult to sell. Phil Neville's luxury apartment in Manchester has been on the market for nearly a decade. Nicky Butt's six-bedroom house in Hale, originally listed at £7 million, has been reduced to £5.5 million and remains unsold since August 2019.
Scholes, who won 11 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues during his playing career, now works as a pundit and part-owner of Salford City. His former teammate David Beckham, meanwhile, has moved on from the Greater Manchester market and now owns a property portfolio worth an estimated £62 million, with homes in Miami, London, Dubai, Spain, and France.
