Lisa Armstrong Makes Third Price Cut on Former Marital Home

Lisa Armstrong, the ex-wife of television presenter Ant McPartlin, has reduced the asking price of their former marital home for the third time, as the property continues to struggle to find a buyer. The lavish five-bedroom residence, located on an exclusive street in Chiswick, west London, was originally valued at between £7 million and £8 million before a devastating fire in September 2023 slashed its worth by more than half.

Price Reductions and Market Challenges

Initially listed for sale in May 2024 at £4 million, the home was taken off the market in January after a £250,000 price reduction. It returned to the market eight months later at £3.4 million, and has now been further discounted to £3.2 million. A source close to the situation revealed, 'Lisa is keen to get it sold. She has had a lot of interest, but is no nearer to selling it. The damage from the fire appears to be putting people off – it'll take at least another £1 million to put it right. She just wants to see the back of it.'

Lisa Armstrong, aged 49, had been renting out the property following her divorce from Ant McPartlin, aged 50, but is now hoping the latest price cut will finally attract a purchaser. The fire caused damages exceeding £1 million, with many rooms still showing visible signs of the inferno, presenting a significant restoration project for any potential buyer.

Property Features and History

Despite the damage, the property boasts impressive amenities, including an 80-foot south-facing rear garden with a self-contained garden studio, a gym room, and a combined games, cinema, and bar area. Photographs of the home highlight both its spacious interiors and garden, adorned with trees and decking, alongside the fire-damaged walls and floors in certain sections.

The house was awarded to Lisa Armstrong as part of her £31 million divorce settlement from Ant McPartlin in 2020. The couple, who split in 2018 after 18 years of marriage, originally purchased the home for £2.3 million in 2006. Lisa has since bought a property nearby where she currently resides.

Recent Developments and Personal Updates

In contrast, Ant McPartlin has moved on, marrying his former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett, in 2021. The couple welcomed their first child together, son Wilder Patrick McPartlin, in May 2024. Earlier this month, it was reported that Ant purchased a vast new-build on an exclusive street in Surrey for a record price exceeding £10 million, with stamp duty alone costing over £1 million.

Over the weekend, both Lisa and Ant faced personal heartache as their dog, Hurley, passed away. It is believed that Ant rushed to join his ex-wife at the vet after attending a Britain's Got Talent press conference in London. The pair made the difficult decision to have Hurley put to sleep after learning the 12-year-old dog was too ill to recover.

Ant McPartlin's career continues to thrive, having recently signed a £30 million golden handcuffs deal with ITV alongside his television partner and best friend, Declan Donnelly. This financial security comes as he settles into his new Surrey home, located in a celebrity enclave near stars such as Sir Cliff Richard and Gary Lineker.
