Helen Flanagan Sells Home for £945k After Price Cuts

Helen Flanagan has sold her six-bedroom family home in Bolton, Lancashire, for £945,000 after slashing the price multiple times over more than a year on the market. The 35-year-old actress and model, known for her role on Coronation Street, had hoped the property would be her 'forever' home, but was forced to move out after her ex-partner, footballer Scott Sinclair, decided to sell it.

Price Reductions and Sale Details

The mansion was initially listed for £1.5 million but was reduced to £1.195 million after just four weeks. Despite Flanagan reportedly spending £150,000 of her own money on renovations, the house failed to attract buyers. The price was later slashed again to £995,000—a reduction of more than a third of the original valuation—and finally sold in May, one year after being put on the market. Documents seen by the Mail revealed that an additional £50,000 was knocked off the final price, with Land Registry records showing the property was purchased by a couple for £945,000.

Emotional Impact on Flanagan

Flanagan, who shares three children—Matilda, 11, Delilah, 8, and Charlie, 5—with Sinclair, spoke about her heartbreak over the sale. She told The Mirror: 'His decision to sell the family home has broken my heart. His reason for selling is financial, as he isn't currently signed to a football club, but it makes me angry when he spends money on fancy holidays and constant trips to Dubai. Scott has other properties he could sell, too—his mother lives in a house similar to mine and yet that hasn't been put up for sale. I worry about my future and my security.'

Financial Concerns and Maintenance

Flanagan admitted she is worried about affording everything her children need, stating: 'I have to work constantly to make ends meet. He's the father of my kids, but their dad's a wealthy guy, you know?' A source previously claimed that Sinclair decided to sell the mansion before finding Flanagan and their children another place to live. 'Scott wants to sell to take the money out, but he hasn't found Helen or the kids a new place. He's not being reasonable. He and Helen are not on the same page,' one source claimed. Another added: 'Helen doesn't want to move and is digging her heels in. She loves the place, the kids are settled at the local school and her mum and dad live around the corner. Scott wants to buy Helen a four-bedroom home. He's even offered to put it in her name but wants to stop the maintenance payments.'
