Eva Mendes has offered a glimpse into her and Ryan Gosling's new life in London after relocating from the US with their two daughters. The couple have settled in the leafy north London suburb of Hampstead, as first reported in late October.
The 51-year-old actress shared a low-key Instagram video showing her walking along a quiet residential street with the family dogs, Lucho and Magic. Dressed in a pale blue knit and coordinating long skirt with brown boots, she appeared relaxed. She captioned the clip: 'When you’re testing how your fit walks but the important things in life remind you how silly it all is. Lucho & Magic por vida.'
In another post over the weekend, Mendes briefly revealed the front of her Hampstead home as she stepped outside to try on jackets. Three-time Oscar nominee Gosling, 44, is currently in the UK filming the latest Star Wars instalment, Starfighter. The decision to base themselves in Britain is also said to reflect a desire to step away from the US political climate.
Since moving to London, Gosling has been spotted doing school runs and visiting local cafés. One social media user recounted how he held a door open for them at a café in West Hampstead, calling it an unexpected highlight.
Mendes has previously spoken about stepping back from acting after the birth of their first daughter, describing the arrangement as a 'no-brainer'. She told US television programme Today: 'It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement. He’s going to work and I’m going to work — I’m just going to work here.' The couple met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines and married in 2022. They share daughters Esmeralda, 11, and Amada Lee, nine.
