A woman in her 70s is fighting for her life after being struck by a car while cycling in Mosman, Sydney. The incident occurred on Sunday morning around 9:15am on the Lower North Shore.
Paramedics treated the cyclist at the scene before rushing her to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition, where she remains. The driver of the silver Mercedes hatchback, a 21-year-old, was also taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police from the crash investigation unit are examining the circumstances of the accident. Motorists are advised to avoid the area due to traffic diversions.
